From the vineyard "Vigna Rondinella", the homonym wine is produced, 100% Pinot Nero. The soils overlook the north: this exposure is perfect to cultivate the Pino nero. The clay-calcareous composition of the soil enhances the scents of blackberry and red fruits, and gives to the wine a persistent and complex taste.
The low outcomes (approximately 6 quintals per pole) are vinified on the grape skins, in the cellar next to the Mornico Losana castle.
The proximity to the vineyards, developed in a single body, permits that the maximum time between the harvest and the destemming is 30 minutes.
The vinification takes place at a controlled temperature, preserving the aroma and extracting the best tannins. In this way the personality and the refinement are guaranteed.
After a year of waiting, in which 5 pouring offs take place, the wine is ready to be bottled and stocked for 3 additional months. The outcome is a pleasant light ruby red wine that can be combined perfectly with raw meats, cured meats, cheeses and Cantabrian anchovies. For this reason this wine is perfect for happy hours and important dinners.
